If you’re like most people, you look forward to summer’s arrival, especially if you live in an area that sees a long, harsh winter. However, as enjoyable as summer can be, it can be costly to keep your home cool when the weather heats up. That doesn’t mean you should have to suffer in the heat, however. Instead, you can stay cool while saving money if you follow these helpful tips.
Use Your Fan
If you have a ceiling fan, you want it to keep you cool in the summer by ensuring that it’s set to pushing air towards you. To do that, check that your fan’s blades are rotating in a counter clockwise direction when you’re looking directly up at it. If it isn’t, flip the little switch by the base of the fan so it’s moving in the right direction.
