To do that, we eliminated a partition wall between the laundry room and kitchen, and added a full-height bay bump-out with full-height windows to create a pleasant, vibrant sitting room where the laundry was. Using the house further, we added custom-constructed cabinetry to house the laundry appliances, with extra cabinets above for laundry or pantry storage.
